Galway is located in the Western district of Ireland and is the fourth largest city in the republic and it’s population continues to grow at a significant rate. It is a popular tourist attraction being the principle urban area in the scenic West of Ireland.
The city is served by a motorway and road network and has an intercity railway station. It has a seaport which it plans to expand. Buses are the main mode of public transport within the city. Later this year the city will introduce a citywide bike hire scheme.
