Byala is located in the central part of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. Its territory is 162 square km. The total length of the coast is 14,300 m. Areas in Byala are mainly agricultural (39.0%), forests, and forest areas (55.4%). The municipality has preserved natural environment and rich biodiversity and cultural heritage. Environment, combining mountainous, hilly and sea relief is diverse and attractive for combining different kinds of tourism.

The municipality has not a capacity to develop Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan in the near future but is interested to implement some mobility measures facilitating the tourism flow.
