  Dear reader,

how do we influence the people that matter, the decision makers in sustainable mobility? What Mobility Management policies are being implemented in our cities? What are the success factors of Mobility Management measures? This are the questions PIMMS TRANSFER and EPOMM answer you at the "Sustainable Mobility in European Regions - Sharing experiences from the PIMMS TRANSFER project and EPOMM" conference on the 4th of October in London.

The main aim of EPOMM is to support active information exchange and learning on Mobility Management between European countries. For this, EPOMM organises since 1997 each spring the yearly European Conferences on Mobility Management and since 2009 each autumn the yearly EPOMM network meeting - the latter always in cooperation with a European project working in Mobility Management. This year, the cooperation takes the shape of a joint conference with PIMMS TRANSFER.
PIMMS TRANSFER is a three-year project, which promotes and enables the exchange of sustainable mobility management practices between 14 regions in Europe, and is implementing innovative projects in Mobility Management. This conference will share experiences from the PIMMS TRANSFER project and EPOMM.

The reasons for joining the conference are manifold:

  • Innovation and not just in the project! Communication will also take place on Twitter, Speed Networking and interactive workshop sessions. These will explore the successes, challenges and way forward for PIMMS TRANSFER pilot actions.

  • Inter-regional cooperation: people are able to speak to and learn from like-minded colleagues from across Europe.

  • Ideas like new policies and projects to implement in regions will be presented.

  • Interactive format the conference is a real network meeting and you will have plenty of opportunity to interact in small, well moderated groups. The conference organisators build on many years of experience for making these events a success.

Please have a look at the (draft) programme and the draft programme details here . There is also the opportunity to participate in a train the trainer workshop on 5 October (limited attendance, see contact in the programme) and the plan to organise excursions on the same day.
The registration is already open. For up to date information visit the PIMMS TRANSFER website or follow on Twitter.
